Concept—
As part of the Small is Great campaign, the client wanted to celebrate the release of the up! and create awareness. Since the core target of the up! don't differentiate online from offline our primary objective was to bridge the gap between the two worlds.
We launched a microsite where participants could attach a personalized balloon with their picture to a virtual up! and bring the up! into the air. Our goal: 20.000 helium balloons. One month later, 20.000 personalized balloons had been attached to the virtual up! In theory, enough helium power to lift the real up! over Berlin. Unfortunately, the weather was not in our favor and the Airport canceled the experiment.
